Deb

Deborah "Deb" is the secretary of Walter Hobbs in the Christmas movie Elf. Deb was played by Amy Sedaris, but was voiced by Rachel Ramras in Elf: Buddy's Musical Christmas.

Elf[]

Deb was on the phone and became frustrated that she was asked to declaw kittens. She said she had never done it before, but asked her caller to bring the kittens by the trailer that weekend so that she could see what she could do. Deb shortly afterwards met Buddy and tried to prevent him from entering Walter's office. Deb's effort failed, then she heard him singing to Walter. Deb agreed to Mr. Hobbs's decision to call security to get Buddy.

Deb met with Walter several times in his office, such as when he was unwrapping a gift Buddy had sent him. When Deb asked what was going on, Walter told her, "Intercom." Deb promptly left. By the intercom, she called Walter to inform him about Fulton Greenway's arrival.

Deb greeted Buddy, then brought some drinks to him and Walter. She was said by Buddy that she had "such a pretty face, it should be on a Christmas card." Deb was flattered by the comment. Deb later used the intercom, unwittingly interrupting Walter when he was calling Miles Finch. Deb then attended Walter's meeting with Miles and gasped in horror to see the latter attacking Buddy, and was also unhappy when Walter disowned Buddy after Miles stormed out.

After the meeting, Deb was present when associates Eugene Dupree and Morris told Walter about Miles's missing notebook. Walter told the three of them to get one of Miles's pitches ready, and the three associates promptly left. Deb later attended Walter's meeting with Fulton, listening to the pitch. Deb was last seen with Eugene and Morris in Walter's office. They were singing "Santa Claus is Coming to Town," which the town was also singing.

Elf: Buddy's Musical Christmas[]

Deb appears in the TV special with light brown skin and black hair, and back eyes. She wears a purple dress and black glasses.
